Hello,
In lecture 1 we learned that a strong base has an electronegativity value of 1.9. I am assuming this is the "difference" in electronegativities of the atoms comprising the base. Or, could it be the dipole moment? I don't know.
So, if it is the difference, then since it is between 0.5 and 1.9 a strong base is classified as polar covalent.
Is this correct?
Thank you for your help.
