4-bromo-3-penatnon rxn w. koh
« on: February 16, 2007, 07:17:55 PM »
Hello, i have this problem:

CH3-CH2-CHOH-CHBR-CH3  + KOH  --->  ?

i think that this will lead to the elimination of the bromine to form some sort of alkene, but i cannot figure out whether the double bond will land between C's 3 and 4 or 4 and 5.

Thanks in advance.
