What can you mix with ice that will make it stronger and take longer to melt

I'm not sure what you mean by stronger exactly, but, if its an ice/water mix (say in a beaker), use salt.

Stronger in the sense that the ice  is harder to break or smash. Sorry i am not very chemistry wise.

Impurities tend to make ice weaker, and make it take longer to freeze. I'm not sure if there is anything that will do what you hope to achieve.

There is a substance called pykrete, which is ice with sawdust in it, at low temperatures it can achieve concrete like stength.
