Sodium Sulphate and Barium Chloride reaction
« on: March 09, 2007, 10:40:50 AM »
Why do Sodium Sulphate and Barium Chloride react? Sodium is more reactive than Barium, and Sulphate more reactive than Chloride. Why should such a reaction occur?

Sodium doesn't react with barium, chloride doesn't react with sulphate. Ions are not changed in this reaction. Think about solubilities of the substances present.

because that Barium Sulphate is not soluble.
