what are the major aspects of free radical polymerisation???

I= initiator molecule
M= monomer molecule
XH= chain transfer agent

ive used wiki and a really gud website which talks about free radical polymerisation

what i meant to say was that i dont know how to write it out in a notation form.

to be honest when i read on this website i dont have a single clue of what they are talking about..

i dont have a very good background in chemistry this is why im asking on the net. my teacher just gave me a book to read but i dont understand these really long names of molecles or what ever they are.lol

initiator molecule...what is that???
monomer molecule i know what this does, without this the polymerisation will never take place. 
chain transfer agent... never heard of sch a thing in my life.

someone explain to me how this all works, step by step.
im no clever clog! lol so please
