i carry this reaction two weeks ,but no good result,i add NaOH then H2O2(excessive).who can give me some advice. i appreciate to your suggestion.

Could you be a bit more specific? I.E. what concentrations did you use in each solution, how was each solution added, etc.

thank you for your attention!
i add 3 eq NaOH,stir at the temperature 0 centigrade,then add 2eq 30% H2O2 ,react 30 mins.
then rise the temperature to 45 centigrade. TLC find no new pot appear.

i add 3 eq NaOH solution,keep the temperature at 0 centigrade,then add 3 eq 30%H2O2,REACT for 30 mins,even several hours,TLC detect,find no new pot appears, i don't kown what's reason?

Are you sure its an acetyl group on the ring?
Dakin reaction converts benzaldehydes to phenols.

but when it is an acetyl group,it also can react,some reaserch have proved that.i don't kow how to get my product?
