Figuring Out Acids and Bases
« on: May 27, 2007, 06:06:24 PM »
Hi--

I did a search for this but there were few clear, concise answers--if anyone can show me where this has already been answered, thanks!

Otherwise, as my chemistry is ridiculously rudimentary: How do you figure out if a solution is an acid or a base?

I know every chemistry book covers this but I don't have access to one at this time.  I'm sure there are also great online resources for things like this, so if anyone could also give me a resource to explain the really simple stuff to me, that would be great.

Thanks!
