glucose and dichromate

hello ppl,

can someone tell me what the product of the following reaction will be..

glucose + potassium dichromate --------> ? ?  Reaction carried out in acid medium.

I want to estimate the amount of glucose and ethanol in a mixture of the two.

1. Is K2Cr2O7/H+ an oxidising or a reducing agent?

2. Is it a mild or strong oxidising/reducing agent?

3. Are there any oxidisable/reducible functional groups in Glucose?
