I couldn't even watch it when he started to rap.  I was embarrassed for him.  There's other ways of keeping students' attention than giving away your dignity.

I'd have been fine with it if he was having fun, but he was nervous and was a complete dancing monkey.  He held their attention throughout that, but as soon as he goes back to chem, it'll be a different story.

If you watched the actual rap, you would have found out it was a review for the final, sorta. So, what does he care anymore?

Substitute silly stuff for some sort of highly exothermic reaction (done with all safety precautions of course). Preferably sending some type of projectile [safely] across a room, or having cool colors.
