I am looking at different acids and I am trying to compare the PH's of their solutions. However, the PH's are given using different units, if you will. For example, 0.1 molar and 0.1 normal solutions. Can anyone explain the differences between these two terminologies and how to convert from one to another. I believe that the molar term is used to describe mols per liter and that the normal solution has something to do with the number of hydrogen ions that disassociate but any more help would be very helpful. Thanks.
