Hi technologist,

A cost-effective method of recovering dilute acetic acid does not readily come to mind.  Depending on the quality of the acetic acid, it may be easier to sell it to vinegar distributors.  It would need the appropriate 'food-grade' tests to ensure that it is fit for human consumption.

Just an idea.

Its not a food grade qualified effluent.
It contains ppm organics like toluene, Glycol ether, Ether acetate.

You may be able to extract the acetic acid with Alamine 336. Contact Cognis Ion Transfer Technology for details.
