Teflon offgasing noxious fumes at 250F.
« on: September 15, 2007, 05:41:30 PM »
I have a pot manufactured by Circulon which produces noxious fumes when heated to only 250F.
It can’t anything like TFE, HFP, PFIB, COF2 or Carbonyl fluorite because they don’t offgas until 680F and up.  Does anyone have any idea what these fumes might be and, more importantly, if they are toxic.  If you don't know I'd be mort grateful if you could direct me  someone who would know. Thanks.
