« on: September 25, 2007, 01:43:09 AM »
If chromium metal is being electrolysed from an acidic solution of CrO3, then would there be 6 electrons since Cr has oxidation state of 0 and CrO3 has an oxidation state of 6????

Rather Cr3+ salts of chromium atre used for electrolysis, eq Cr2(SO4)3

But your answer for your problem is correct.
