I am checking the brix on a filterate. Unfortunately the filterate is very difficult to completely clarify with the equipment and supplies at my disposal. Will the clarity of my liquid have any impact on my testing. If anybody has input I would really appreciate it. If you can even refer me to a good web site to answer my question, I would be equally appreciative.

Hi, if you must clarify a solution you must do it carefully, if it is difficult to filtrate it you can use another method like centrifuge to clarify it.

Thanx for your reply, Mansouri. I have actually tried to filter as well as centrifuging. The only thing that has worked is the use of centrifuge filters, but I just ran out and our purchasing agent does not think it is justifiable to purchase disposable ones that are as expensive if they are. I know...I know....I just don't feel like arguing my point.
