MnO2
« on: October 04, 2007, 09:57:39 PM »
I've got some manganese dioxide and I'm wondering about some exciting reactions i can create with it.
What does it react with? How do I get them started? And is this stuff a good oxidizer?

I've already done the reaction with hydrogen peroxide (btw, does the reaction give off pure oxygen?)

Your title says MgO2 which would not be manganese but magnesium.  Do you have MnO2 or MgO2?

Title edited, brentr is right something is wrong, I think I remember crazy4laptops writing about MnO2 earlier.

Yes, this is pure oxygen.
