Solubility in Water
« on: October 17, 2007, 11:03:30 AM »
I'm reviewing the solubility rules and I know AgCl is insoluble in water but I'm confused on how to determine the solubility of AgCl in water?

Is this something I should have memorized?  Do I compare the Ksp of water to the Ksp of AgCl?  I'm looking but I can't find the Ksp of water anywhere  ::)  What am I doing wrong?

Thank you.  So according to wiki the Solubility constants have been experimentally determined.  So if I'm asked the solubility of a compound I should have it memorized already  ???

Solubility of compound is its physical property, it can be expressed by Ksp
