molarity
« on: October 26, 2007, 09:14:12 PM »
Can someone please help me with this problem?

A solution is prepared by dissolving 18.4 g ammonium sulfate in enough water to make 100.0 mL of stock solution. A 15.00 mL sample of this stock solution is added to 52.00 mL of water. Calculate the concentration of ammonium ions and sulfate ions in the final solution.

First, calculate number of mole ammonium sulfate in 18.4g.  Use this to find molarity of 100mL soln.  How many moles will be in the 15mL soln?  How many will be in the 67mL soln?
