hello I was wondering which oxidizing agent would be needed to carry out this reaction. CH3-CH2-OH ---------> CH3-C (double boneded to 0) and then boended to OH. baciacally a caboxcilic acid. I thought it was PCC but someone said it was wrong

pcc is for oxidizing primary alcohols to aldehydes or other alcohols to ketones. If you want to oxidize a primary alcohol to acid, you need strong oxidants, like CrO3/H2SO4 or permanganate
