Ferric Chloride reuse
« on: December 18, 2007, 10:37:45 PM »
Hi everyone,

I have been using ferric chloride to etch some copper i.e. to remove copper from certain sufaces.
Now my question is can i reuse the ferric chloride i.e. by some process of distillation or electrolysis i should be able to remove the copper in the solution and reuse the ferric chloride. How can i do this ???
thanks for your help.

I believe it was discussed on forums, do the search.

hi
I have one more doubt.
The copper layer quickly oxidises after the print is removed. How can i prevent this ? I have heard that varnish is good but which one??

One more thing is when we buy a copper laminate the copper layer is nice and shiny and it doesnt oxidise. How can i obtain the same finish after etching ??
