I am confused on my Chemistry assignment and was wondering if someone could help me. I am confused on how to do number 2.
Lab Data
Mass of Calorimeter and Water 256.932g
Temperature of Calorimeter and Water 42.9 celsius
Mass of Calorimter and water and melted ice 266.045g
Temperature of Calorimeter and Water and Melted ice 36.5 celsius
1. Calculate the mass , m of (melted) ice used.
2. Using your answer from #1, calculate the heat, q, absorbed by the water from the ice. (Assume the intial temperature of the ice was 0.0 degrees celsius)
1. 266.045 - 256.932=9.113g
2. Q=M*C*Delta T
Q= 9.113*0.5*
I am unsure of what the Delta T would be.... Would it just be 42.9-36.5?
