Can anyone tell me why in phosphine, PH3, the bond angle (H-P-H) is about 90-degree, whereas in annmonia, NH3, the bond angle is 107 degree??
PLEASE! IT'S URGENT!!

Think about the atomic orbitals involved in the two molecules. What is different?
