Rate law of Decomposition of H2O2
« on: December 04, 2007, 01:24:06 PM »
Does anyone know the rate law of the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide?

2H2O2->2H20 + O2, and Iodine is the catalyst

Rate of oxygen evolution =k[H2O2]^n[I-]^m

What is the already determined value of n and m?

R=k[H2O2][I-] (1st order in both)
