The question states "Which ionic compound is expected to form from the combination of Bromine and Scandium?"
I found the answer to be Br
2
Sc, but it says this is wrong. Can anyone tell me what they get for this, and how they did it?

Dear
Laxplayer
;
Scandium has the “
Elect
ron Configuration
”: [
Ar
]
3d
1
4S
2
That means a natural oxidation number of +3 and your product should therefore be
ScBr
3
.
Good Luck!
