How do I sell or donate acids without a license?
« on: January 02, 2008, 09:53:05 PM »
I make a living buying & reselling things & on occassion I obtain things like nitric & hydrochloric acids. Does anyone know how I can legally sell volumes of acid without a license? I'm considering contacting local business or colleges to see if they would be able to purchase from me, but am almost convinced that they would be required to buy from a licensed dealer. Other ideas are: paying for an OSHA company to pick them up or donating them to a school. I realize that some of the inorganic acids that I have are federally & state restricted chemicals & eBay, Craig's List, & other selling sites won't allow the sale of them. I'm not using them & don't want anyone to use them that shouldn't be. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I doubt your acids are pure enough that any university would want them. YOur best bet would be to contact local high school teachers.
Most Common Suggestions I Make on the Forums.
1. Start by writing a balanced chemical equation.
2. Don't confuse thermodynamic stability with chemical reactivity.
3. Forum Supports LaTex

Yep, they are from an  electoplating business. I'll try local high schools. Thanks much.
