Phenols by EPA 420.2

I run Phenols in water by EPA 420.2 on a Technicon Auto-analyzer. A client wants results by EPA 420.1, which is a one liter distillation before analysis. Has anyone done a study comparing the results of these two methods?

I would suggest the the EPA are the best people to contact on the comparison of their methodologies.
The EPA website has facility for you to submit questions directly.
