Hi, I am new here 

and uh.. I am doing a written report about "characterization of hydrocarbon", and I am having a hard time doing the conclusion part. The experiment was to determine the unknown substance using nitration, bromine or permanganate test (i hope you are aware of this to answer me ) and what we have as the unknown substance is ALIPHATIC UNSATURATED CYCLOHEXENE

How do I characterize hydrocarbons based on their chemical reactions?
How do I identify the structural features of the unknown hydrocarbon?
