Read the toluene to benzaldehyde thread over at sciencemadness.org in the micellaneous forum , it's a sticky thread,...there is a lot of information on the method ..java

Liquid phase chlorination (or oxidation) is carried out industrially.

Ph-CH3 + Cl2 + heat -> Ph-CHCl2

Ph-CHCl2 + H2O -> Ph-CHO + HCl

Dear Geodome,

I'm a final year student from one of the local university in malaysia. Now I'm doing my final year project based on production of benzaldehyde.

My task at this time is to do a market survey about benzaldehyde. So, i would like to ask  your opinion about the world demand on benzaldehyde. Then, could u give the related web site to me?
