I have a homework question that asks to determine the commutators of the operators d/dx and 1/x. I don't understand what commutators are. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

the commutor is defined like this:
[d/dx,1/x]=d/dx 1/x - 1/x d/dx
try to apply this to a function f(x)
