Hi, i have a question from my college chemistry course that i am stuck on:
Pepto-Bismol, which helps provide soothing relief for an upset stomach, contains 300mg of bismuth subsalicyclate C21 H15 Bi3 O2, per tablet. If you take two tablets for your stomach distress, what amount (in moles) of the "active ingredient" are you taking? What mass of Bi are you consuming in two tablets?
The answer is
.000552 mol: and 0.346 g of Bi for two tablets.
The only problem is i don't know how to arrive at that answer.
If anyone has any idea how to work this out please help, I would greatly appreciate it, Thanks!
