Chemical structure of Asphalt?
« on: March 28, 2005, 10:39:31 AM »
I am looking for as much chemical information on asphalt as I can get. Structure, reactivity, reactions that it will participate in, etc...
Thanks for your help.

Asphalt doesn't have much of a chemical structure. It's just heterogenous mixture of mostly gravel, ash, crumb rubber and high mass hydrocarbons sticked together with adhesion.

And link that might help a bit.

Chemists do it periodically on table.
