i have been give five solutions
aq calcium hydroxide
ethanoic acid (approx 1moldm-3)
nitric acid (approx 1moldm-3)
aq potassium bromide
aqueous sodium chloride
i have devise a sequence of chemical reactions to distinguish between them all.
Does adding silver nitrate sound right first to identify the bromide and chloride?
if so I'm still confused on what tests would work for the acids? (
nitric and ethanoic)any help?
I ll be grateful for anything!
thanks
