Urea to Nitrate
«

Can anyone tell me how Urea (NH2)2CO can be turned into Nitrate NO3 in the environment, I think it involves a couple of steps that include H20, CO2, and 02 but I can't seem to get an equation. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you ever let a cat box go too long before cleaning? What does it smell like?
Ammonia is the answer.
