Titration of Sodium Carbonate and Sulphuric acid
« on: March 16, 2008, 06:37:23 AM »
I need to work out the concentration, is this correct?
NaCO3 has an RMM of 83
I used a total mass of 2.67g
2.67/83
=0.032
In a 250ml solution
0.032/0.25
=0.128moldm-3
 Thanks in advance
Tim  ;)

No such thing as NaCO3!

Looks like otherwise approach is OK.

Thanks for the reply.
NaCO3, Sodium Carbonate, no?
The exact words on my notes say 'You are given a sample of anhydrous sodium carbonate"

Hello Tim....

Guess who this is >_>

Na2CO3 RMM = 106

You have 2.67g therefore 2.67g / 106 = 0.025 moles

To find volume use: conc= (Mole x 1000)/volume

The volume you are using is 250ml therefore: conc= (0.025 x 1000)/250 = 0.100 mol dm^-3

... Now I really need to go revise. Those chemistry exams wont pass themselves!
Don't believe atoms, they make up everything!
