Dear Studytogether;
Sorry! - No!, ─ Because “Deepness” of a Color doesn’t correlates with “Absorption-Strength” (ε), also not by any Thumb-Rule.
But the two Thumb-Rules hold, mostly:
- As more conjugated Double-Bonds as longer the “highest” Wavelength.
- As more conjugated Double-Bonds as higher the corresponding Epsilon (ε).
Deepness is only a visual property and is “measured” in “Color Metrics” and “Color Matching”.
Good Luck!
