Can somebody please explain to me the precise structure of hydrogen cyanide? Am I right in thinking that it is made up of a Cyanide ion (CN-) and a hydrogen ion (H+)? Or is the hydrogen covalently bonded to the carbon atom?
If it is ionic, how would I go about drawing/building the lattice structure of it, given that one of the ions is two covalently bonded atoms?
