a solution is made by dissolving 22.5 grams of KCl in 250 grams of water. The density of the resulting solution is 1.203 g/mL. what is the volume of the solution?

I'm having trouble finding what the total grams would be. Adding 22.5 + 250 to get a total mass and then multiplying it by the total density doesn't work. Any guidance? Thanks

Total mass is a sum, that's correct. Check your units after multiplication - is it volume?
