I will be attempting my first oil and water emulsion soon making a wax paste and just had a couple of beginner questions.

1. Does it make a difference if you add the water mix to the oil mix or the oil mix to the water mix?

2. Emulsions need biocides and anti-fungal ingredients to stop them going mouldy. Can anyone suggest products I can look for? Is Cosmocil CQ one of these products?
