Confirmation - Determining Volume Stiochiometrically

Hello there,

Could someone please confirm my conjecture below? Thank you.

1. Ethylene burns in oxygen to form carbon dioxide and water vapor:

C2H4(g) + 3O2(g) -> 2CO2(g) + 2H2O(g)

How many liters of water can be formed if 1.25 liters of ethylene are consumed in this reaction?

For this problem, I originally did it with the Ideal Gas Law. I found the number of moles of ethylene, then for water, and then found volume by using the Ideal Gas Law.

However, would it be correct simply to multiply the volume of
C2H4 by 2 since the stiochiometric ratio between ethylene and water is 1:2 and also because Avogadro's law applies to this reaction?

Therefore:

Volume of water formed = 1.25 L x 2

                                = 2.50 L

I am asking this because if this method is correct, I could calculate things much more quickly.
