What is an example of a Solid dissolving a Solid? And is there a proper term for it?

the closest thing i can think of to this happening would be metal/metal, but that still doesn't really happen how you're thinking

Yeah, I've done some searching and found that its called Alloy for metals. Such as Brass. I'm pretty sure this will do for an explanation but if there's more detail ones out there, that would be cool.

Thanks Spoon, for bringing in this question...

I have always been curious to know any other example of Solid Solution beside Alloys. Would be great if someone can provide other examples with little explanations, details ets.

ibe read my material science book and my physical chemistry book by atkins all they can offer is a short term:metal alloy but its even not a mettlaic solution i think but rather a metallic composite
