Does anyone know if there is a calculation to find smoke point of an oil based on something such as distillation?

Smoke point is usually used to determine the efficiency of kerosine .
in which a fuse is soaked in kerosine and burn the fuse till a smoke is occur at this point we measure the length of fuse and this is called smoke point .
