gcms at enviromental lab
« on: June 24, 2008, 06:13:06 PM »
hi all. I work as an analyst for an environmental company. We test for 71 compuonds but really focus on mtbe, toluene, etc. Having an issue with the internals shooting up while sitting over the weekend. any suggestions? thought maybe it was the trap so tried baking it monday morning but didnt work. maybe try baking out the column monday before a run? It'll come dodwn monday morning after running 2 or 3 water blanks.

Are you flushing your column out good Friday evening, or just leaving the last run sitting in it all weekend long?

20 samples run starting approx 3pm fri afternoon then sit until monday morning. would you reccommend throwing a bunch of water blanks on right after those samples?
