I have three-way burets set-up for daily titrations and am having trouble with leaks where my tubing connects to the spout of the jug full of titrant.  I've tried hose clamps and Teflon tape, but still I get drips down the hose and on to the bench top.  Ultimately, I'm pretty sure the problem is that the small piece of plastic stuck into the spigot nozzle is literally stuck in there - it's not threaded. 

Any advice on a better set-up, or at least a more appropriate container to use for a solution reservoir?

Use some copper wire to secure the tygon around the nozzle?

I've tried similar things.  I think the Tygon is tight on the nozzle insert.  It's the nozzle insert (tiny white plastic thing below the blue nozzle) that's the problem. That's why I'm thinking a different sort of container would be better.

It might not be the best idea but you could try heating the plastic so that is warps together.
Also, you said about tape. Did you tape the white insert to make it tighter and the outside to seal or just one of those places?
Or, try securing a large funnel around the nozzle so it goes on the outside of it. Then attach a hose that will fit around the end of the funnel.
So your lower thing should always go around your higher thing.

Yea, I was gonna ask if you put the teflon tape on the inside to make it tighter, or just on the outside to try and "seal" it.

Teflon tape on the inside to make it tighter.  I just wonder what other folks use as reservoirs for their 3-way burets.

Superglue will rescue the situation.
