EDDHA from EDDHA-FE

Hello Chemists!
I would really appreciate some help/advice in the following problem.
I would like to use EDDHA (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EDDHA
) as an iron chelator in a biological experiment, however I am not able to find any manufacturers/suppliers. Sigma can't/won't give me an answer as to why this is?!
I am however able to find EDDHA-Fe (
http://www.made-in-china.com/china-products/productviewYbsmUdWGgTkD/EDDHA-FE-6.html
)
My question is am I able to generate EDDHA without Fe from EDDHA-FE? Is it a complicated reaction?
Cheers
Tim
