Organic Functions?

I ordered my organic chem book online so i still dont have it with me (what i'm looking for it's supposed to be there). I'm beign showed lineal structures of different organic functions. I have to give it's name and condensed formula.

Can someone help me or at least link me somewhere i can learn more on this? I dont even know what those lines mean and they must mean something because of those two that are plain lines.

You can't find a science library and read an organic chemistry book there?
Most Common Suggestions I Make on the Forums.
1. Start by writing a balanced chemical equation.
2. Don't confuse thermodynamic stability with chemical reactivity.

I dont live at campus and right now i dont have a library near me
