When to use which formual
« on: August 21, 2008, 07:08:19 PM »
I was wondering when do use which formula:

KEavg = (3/2)kT

KEavg = (3/2)RT

Is the first one for fluids, and the bottom one for ideal gases?

NA = Avagrados number

R= k ยท NA

k = R / NA

So you use one when you are talking about per molecule, and one when you are talking about per mole. Given the above information, which is which?
