Detailed Information regarding amino acids
« on: September 19, 2008, 12:13:12 PM »
Hey guys, I am in a bit of a pickle and could really use the help of some experts. I was just wondering where I could find DETAILED information regarding amino acids. In particular I want to find out about L-Alanine, L-Glutamic acid and D-Glutamic acid. I am after information such as length of the molecule, its rigidty, the type of bonding present etc. For example i know that D and L Glutamic acid are stereoiomers, however how does this effect the physical properties of the molecule (i.e. chain length etc). Any help will be greatly appreciated. please please please help  :-[

Thanks

It doesn't. Obviously you have no idea what stereoisomers are.

Try to start with wikipedia.
