w of a system in combustion plz *delete me*?

Calculate the value of wsys, in Joules, for the combustion of 1.00 g of C4H8O at 100 °C (assume the compound is a liquid and water is in its gaseous form).
(Hint: start by writing a balanced equation for one mole of the compound; fractional coefficients are allowed!)



ok so that is the problem. i know how to find specific heat and heat capacity. or at least i know the equations. im just not sure how they relate to work... so confused.
any suggestions???

You don't need specific heats to solve this problem.  I would suggest by starting with the hint given; write a balanced equation for the combustion of one mole of your compound.
