Hi all,
I am working on my synthesis of lidocaine project and I would appreciate it if any one could help me with a peer reviewed litereture on this experiment.If any one has done this experiment before then your advice from references to everything would help me a lot.My project is due next Monday so i can't wait for your input.

Most Common Suggestions I Make on the Forums.
1. Start by writing a balanced chemical equation.
2. Don't confuse thermodynamic stability with chemical reactivity.

You need to check the Journal of Chemical Education.  They publish procedures for High School and College labs, and I remember specifically reading the procedure for the synthesis of lidocaine in it.  I am pretty sure it's in the year range 1998-2003.  Best of luck finding it.
