Solution Problem dealing with TUMS

Hi everyone,

Need some help solving this problem. If anyone can help me set up the equation, that would be a big help. I have been working on this one for quite some time, so any insight would be helpful.

If Tums is added to 45.0 mL of 0.800 M HCl, how many grams of CO2 gas are produced?

The equation for CaCO3 reacting with stomach acid is as follows:

CaCO3 + 2HCl --> CaCl2 + H2 + CO2

wrong equation!
Note - pharmaceutical preparation do not contain pure (100%) chemical substances

That is the equation in the text for this particular problem. Any insight on how to get the equation set up would be great. Thanks!

It should be H2O instead of H2
