Hello,

Can u tell me what is the name of this chemical?  ---> Na3C3H6O7
I found this formula in a journal but didn't mention the name of this chemical.
I searched everywhere (books, jurnal and internet) but didn't found it.

Na3C3H6O7

1. Because of isomerism it is impossible in general to name the compound just knowing its overall formula.

2. I don't know any compound with a given formula.

3. My closest bet is that it should be H5, not H6.

4. Try to just google formula.

My guess C6H5 =  sodium citrate

This is a formula from wikipedia
Na3C3H5O(COO)3 which may cause this error

Borek is right that compound does not contain an odd number of hydrogen + sodium atoms, but also it is imposible that compond contains 3 carboxylate groups and 3 carbon atoms only.

Thanks for your advice. I think sodium citrate is the alternative way.

Really appreciate it.
